Broome-Tioga BOCES completes new house for Habitat for Humanity - WBNG-TV

TOWN OF DICKINSON (WBNG) -- Habitat for Humanity moved the newest house built by the organization to its new location.

The house was put together by the help of Broome-Tioga BOCES students.

This is the second house to be built in the partnership between BOCES and Habitat for Humanity.

Last week, the house was moved to its final location on Linda Drive in the Town of Dickinson.

Amy Winans, Broome County Habitat for Humanity director, says there is another plot for another house in the future.

They also says the pandemic won't stand in the way.

"Students are remote or hybrid," Winans said. "So, at best case scenario for that construction, students might be there two days a week on campus."

Winans also mentioned Habitat for Humanity is excited for the family that gets to live in the new house in the future.
