This Old House, the reality show about rehabbing houses before we even tossed around the words "reality show" and "HGTV," is filming in Saratoga Springs. The theme is "Restoring a Family Legacy," and the old house is a sixth-generation Dutch Colonial, home to Evan Williamson. Built in 1864, the house was expanded over the years to accommodate family and boarders. Knob and tube wiring is still in use in half of the house, the original boiler is still used to heat the house and a narrow staircase doesn't meet modern building code.
Whitbeck Construction is doing the work, expected to run into February of next year. Stay tuned!
