U.S. House of Representatives Upheld Democracy and Voted to Remove Greene from Her Committee Assignments - Human Rights Campaign

Last Friday, HRC called on House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to remove Greene from her Congressional committee assignments for endorsing violence against elected officials and public figures, sedition and domestic terrorism.

A CNN KFile review of hundreds of posts and comments from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Facebook revealed that Greene repeatedly indicated support for executing prominent Democratic politicians in 2018 and 2019. One post from January 2019 noted that Greene liked a comment that said “bullet to the head would be quicker” to remove House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. In a Facebook post from 2018, Greene replied to a supporter who asked how they can “hang” former President Barack Obama.

David Hogg, a survivor of the fatal shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shared in an interview on Thursday that he “absolutely remembers” in 2019 when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene harassed him and accused him of being paid by George Soros.

Some lawmakers have called for her expulsion after the January 6 attempted insurrection on Capitol Hill. Her statements have also resulted in a temporary ban from Twitter.
